ProGrass, LLC Announces the retirement of Contract Administrator
Pittsburgh based artificial turf company, ProGrass, LLC, announces Mike McGann retirement
PITTSBURGH, PA, July 27, 2011 – After many years of service at ProGrass LLC, from the company’s inception to present, Mike McGann has announced his retirement. Over his 9 years of service, Mike has been a vital member of the ProGrass staff, recently acting as Contract Administrator, ensuring that the proper procedures were followed to obtain over 300 bid approvals and secured contracts. Mike’s hard work and dedication will be missed as he retires to Texas to be closer to his family.
Bill McLay, Director of Administrative Services, said, “Mike has proven for a decade to be loyal and dedicated to ProGrass’ success. He has served unselfishly moving from Controller to Contract Administration, back to Controller and has never wavered in his desire to perform whatever duties he was asked to perform with professionalism and grace and without complaint. Mike epitomizes the concept of ‘Team Player’. I will miss him.”
Mark Weightman, Director of Contract Administration, stated, “Mike has always been the guy to go to when you needed information about the past. Mike has the ability to retain miniscule information about a project whether it was last week or last year. He has always been the first to arrive and the last to leave and he has never left an assignment undone. Mike’s position may be filled, but his untiring devotion will never be matched. I’m sorry to see him leave. I wish him well and fond memories.”
Bill Gadd, COO, stated, “Thank you Mike for your many years of dedicated service to ProGrass. We wish you the very best continued good health and happiness!”
Bobby Thomas, President, said, “Mike McGann has always been “Mr. ProGrass” in my eyes and the eyes of all ProGrass employees. He has served the company in different capacities over the last 9 years and has been instrumental in the growth of the company. He has always been willing to lend a helping hand and provide knowledge throughout the years. His loyalty and dedication will be missed dearly by all here. We wish Mike and his family a wonderful and healthy retirement.”
