Step 1 - Excavation
To prepare a field for a synthetic turf surface the existing sod and topsoil are removed. The sub grade is graded to the specified elevations. Then the sub grade is rolled and compacted.
Step 2 - Perimeter Drain
A 12 inch diameter drain pipe is installed around the entries perimeter of the field. This drain pipe is connected to the existing storm water management system. This ensures vertical drainage from surface water.
Step 3 - Geotextile
To keep the base stone separated from the earth sub grade a layer of geotextile is laid over the entire field including the drainage trenches. The geotextile allows for vertical drainage.

Step 4 - Strip Drains
Strip drains are installed throughout the field on a 45 degree angle. These drains are laid directly on the geotextile, evenly spaced and connected to the perimeter pipe. These drains assist in directing water flow to the perimeter drains.
Step 5 - Base Stone
Base stone is placed over the strip drain and perimeter drains. This stone is rolled and compacted to the specified elevations.
Step 6 - Laser Grading
All base stone is laser graded to get the exact finish grade.
Step 7 - Sew Carpet In Place
Our turf is fastened together with a time-tested method of sewing with rot-resistant thread. Each panel is sewn precisely for the proper field dimensions.
Step 8 - Inlay Field Markers
All sporting events, logos, end zones, lettering, etc. are inlaid on a field. This process uses a bonding method with all urethane properties.
Step 9 - Infill
The infill, either a mixture of silica sand and ambient ground rubber or all ambient ground rubber, is put into the field at the proper height, and then carefully leveled for consistency and a good G-Max rating.
Step 10 - Finished Field
Finished fields are practically maintenance free.
